Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Wrexham Child Health Department Reception. This is a part time, permanent post which covers a range of administrative tasks to aid the continuity of an extremely busy service to our patients/carers and other professional colleagues. Previous reception and customer service experience is essential. You will also have knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel. The ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount to this post, as is excellent interpersonal skills, which includes a friendly telephone manner, whilst providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a professional and efficient reception service within the Child health reception area, ensuring that all patients and visitors are welcomed to the department in an appropriate manner. By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.
