Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse who is ready to develop and promote patient safety initiatives across East IHC in relation to acute deterioration?
The East Surgical team are seeking a self-motivated Nurse, with a desire to promote and develop clinical excellence and practice across East IHC in alignment with Welsh Government initiatives in relation to acute deterioration. You will need to demonstrate excellent inter-personnel and communication skills, strive for change and enjoy a challenge.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support:
To improve the experience and outcomes of patients with acute deterioration throughout the IHC East.
Establish optimal levels of care and improved outcomes by working together alongside AIT, in relation to Sepsis, NEWS, Fluid Balance and acute Deterioration.
To lead the development and promotion of a range of strategic initiatives such as call for concern, NEWS 2 within East IHC, in response to Welsh Health Circulars, by educating, teaching and developing and implementing service improvement.
The post holder, alongside AIT will ensure a site wide IHC East response to the deteriorating adult patient.
This will also involve being part of the matron weekend staffing rota and supporting the wider site matrons across all directorates in relation to quality, governance, patient/ family experience and patient safety.
