Job summary
The Health Board wishes to appoint a full time locum Consultant Dermatologist, the post will be based at either Wrexham Maelor Hospital or Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. There is a requirement for cross site working with peripheral clinics. Both posts will be supporting Ysbyty Gwynedd locality and will provide a variety of virtual and face to face Senior Medical cover as part of a hub and spoke model.
Main duties of the job
This post is a full time post, which hasarisen due to a change in service model. There is a requirement for cross site working with some peripheral clinics. The posts are for ten PA's per week of which, typically, seven will be for direct clinical care (DCC) and three for supporting professional activity (SPA), as specified in the Welsh Consultant contract.
Dermatology is managed in Community Directorate (a mixture of community and some acute based services) with the base for Dermatology remaining in the acute sectors of Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The dermatology department has excellent relationships with the oral and maxillofacial department who provide the head and neck plastic surgery services in North Wales.
There is no out of hour on call requirement for this post.
