Job summary
.We are seeking applications for a Clinical Co-ordinator within the Emergency Care Directorate at Ysbyty Gwynedd. If you are tenacious, with a flexible approach to work, can cope well under pressure and would like a job that challenges you then you could be the person we are looking for to fill this new post.The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective medical rota co-ordination across the Emergency Care Directorate.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work with minimum supervision. They will possess a positive and solution focused attitude at all times to ensure rotas are in place to deliver an efficient and effective operational clinical service for all of our patients. The post holder will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adopt a positive attitude towards staff and problem solving and will be required to work on their own initiative, in accordance with Health Board policies and procedures, referring issues to their Line Manager as appropriate
Main duties of the job
Key aspects of this post include co-ordinating and overseeing the smooth running of the established shift patterns and leave arrangements in line with the New Deal - Junior Doctors Hours/European Working Time Directive.
The post holder will also have responsibility for producing duty rosters for all medical staff including out of hours on-call and day time Roster's for Consultant and junior medical staff.
Working as part of the Emergency Care Operational Management Team, the post holder will also undertake appropriate ad hoc projects as and when required. These projects will be in line with the responsibilities of the grade of the post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
