Job summary
This post is a Fixed term/Secondment for until 31st March 2026 to meet the needs of the service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist, based within SLT services in North West Wales, to work with our partners in Flying Start services in Gwynedd.
Working with colleagues in Flying Start, including health visitors, Nursery Nurses, Language and Play and Early Development officers, Advisory Teachers, and child care providers, you will ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the development of the speech, language and communication skills of young children.
Main duties of the job
As a successful candidate you will be enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative, with a passion for working with young children and their families. Previous experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams, particularly colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services will be an advantage. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills (including observation, listening and empathy skills) to support the individual needs of children, and families. There will be the opportunity to develop skills in the training and education of staff in preschool settings and schools, as well as working with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Flying Start service in North West Wales.
