Job summary
We are pleased to offer a vacancy for a caring and motivated Maternity Support Worker to join the Midwifery Team at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach and an ability to relate positively to staff and patients. Significant and relevant work/social experience which has utilised skills and knowledge that could be of benefit to this post are essential.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include assisting the midwifery team with the delivery of patient care whilst maintaining a clean, tidy and safe community environment conducive to high standards of patient care,. The role will also involve the provision of some administration support to the midwifery staff, e.g. ordering of supplies.This post will involve shift working including days/ nights and weekend.
The successful candidate will be expected to complete a Level 3 qualification within the first 2 years of the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
