Job summary
The Health Board is looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to support the Consultant Vascular Surgeons who make up the North Wales Vascular Network. It is expected that the post holder would have part B MRCS.
We are specifically looking for doctors who would work well within our department not only in skill level and UK/NHS experience but also in attitude and career outlook. All timetabled clinics would be consultant supervised and are limited to 10 patients per clinic seeing new, FU, general and specialist cases.
Main duties of the job
Do you want to be a part of a new exciting development to improve the health of the population we serve? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to join Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board's North Wales Vascular Network.
The tertiary unit for major arterial surgery is located at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire. As an integral part of this development we have installed a state of the art Hybrid Theatre (including Interventional Radiology facilities).
The North Wales Vascular Network provides services to a population of approximately 700,000 residents. Spoke services are provided at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
In conjunction with our Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and a hard-working, highly motivated nursing team, the successful appointee will provide a high quality, modern service in a rapidly developing unit. The post will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a fully integrated range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services across North Wales.
The job will attract 10 PA's at the specialty doctor scale, commiserate with level of experience. The post is available on a substantive permanent basis and will be appointed under the terms and conditions of the Welsh SAS and specialty doctor contract.
