Job summary

To provide secretarial and administrative support to the HR Human Resources Team and WOD Heads of Service ensuring discretion and confidentiality at all times. The post holder will be required to operate efficiently and effectively, providing proactive administrative support to the HRHR Team and smoothly co-ordinate day-to-day secretarial arrangements for the Heads of Service.

The post holder will be a first point of contact for the Human Resources Team and screen incoming calls from other Health Board staff, members of the public and external departments or agencies, responding in a tactful and courteous manner, prioritising the issues, making decisions concerning appropriate information disclosure and adhering to timescales. The post holder will work closely with the HRHR Managers and HR Officers HR to ensure incoming calls are correctly triaged and directed on appropriately to provide a high quality response.

Liaison and communication with Workforce and Organisational Development (WOD) secretarial and administration staff and Health Board secretarial staff will be a key element of this role.

Main duties of the job

To provide secretarial and administrative support to the HR Team. Most of this information / correspondence is sensitive and must be dealt with ensuring discretion and confidentiality at all times.

To be a first point of contact and screen incoming calls for the Head of HR from Health Board staff, members of the public and external departments or agencies, responding swiftly and efficiently in a tactful and courteous manner, making decisions concerning appropriate information disclosure and adhering to timescales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
