Job summary
Are you a senior finance leader, looking for your next big and exciting challenge? Our large and complex organisation spans the six counties of North Wales, and the postholder is responsible for a budget of over £2bn. This critical role demands an experienced finance executive with outstanding leadership credentials.
Reporting Directly to the Chief Executive, the Executive Director of Finance is responsible for all finance and procurement functions. This pivotal role will ensure that the Health Board meets all of it's statutory financial duties and operates with the highest standards of probity in all transactions.

Main duties of the job
The Director of Finance ensures the Health Board meets the demands of openness and accountability in decision making and delivers value for money. As an Executive member of the Board, the Director will hold corporate responsibility jointly with other Board members for the strategic direction, corporate policy making and development and delivery of Health Board objectives. The Finance Director will take a lead in ensuring the Health Board designs and implements strong, effective performance measurement and management systems.
Other key duties include;
o Ensure the successful achievement of each of the statutory financial targets and act as the prime source of advice to the Board on all aspects of financial management, stewardship and governance.
o Lead organisational responsibility for the delivery of the Health Board's financial strategy, the preparation of statutory accounts, service line reporting and the provision of financial services and support.
o Contribute to NHS Wales planning mechanisms and strategy development and delivery and to actively engage in work at a national level.

Boasting 250 miles of coastline, the are plenty of beautiful beaches to enjoy all year round. Much of the Wales Coast Path can be cycled as well as walked, as it shares a route with the National Cycle Network.
