We are seeking a dynamic Technical ICT Project Manager to manage and oversee the delivery of highly complex ICT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and strategy development, through to successful delivery and post-implementation review. This role will require you to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams, all while maintaining a strong focus on project governance and financial control. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site as needed to ensure effective project delivery.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader who has demonstrable experience in the field of ICT project management and a drive to make a tangible difference by delivering projects that enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes. Main duties of the job
Lead multiple ICT infrastructure projects of varying scope and complexity, using PRINCE2 methodologies to ensure that all projects meet key deadlines and deliverables.
Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting. You will be responsible for keeping projects within financial constraints and providing detailed budget status updates, highlighting any potential deviations.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication across all project phases. You will need to be skilled at handling sensitive, highly complex information and able to deliver clear, persuasive presentations to senior leaders and project boards.
Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery. You will be expected to develop mitigation strategies and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure that projects stay on track.

You have significant demonstrable experience leading complex ICT projects, particularly infrastructure or systems change projects, ideally within a large public sector or healthcare setting. You are adept at managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment across different departments.
You have a deep understanding of ICT infrastructure, including knowledge of relevant local and national strategies, as well as current best practices in project management and service delivery. You stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the ICT field.
You have a track record of overcoming challenges and providing creative solutions to complex issues. Youre capable of making quick decisions, even in the face of uncertainty, and you use data and analysis to guide your approach.
You can communicate highly complex, sensitive, and sometimes contentious information in a way that is clear, persuasive, and accessible to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, clinicians, and technical staff.
You have a solid understanding of financial management and budget control. Youve successfully managed project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial limits and have implemented resource plans that maximise efficiency.
You are skilled at negotiating with key stakeholders and suppliers, using your influence to ensure that the projects goals are understood and supported at all levels of the organisation.

- Educated to Postgraduate Diploma level or equivalent work experience in ICT or a related field.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification is essential.
- Experience with budget control, contract negotiation, and procurement in an ICT setting.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale, complex ICT infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrable success in leading, motivating, and managing project teams, as well as engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Experience in using project management software and tools to track project performance and manage project documentation.
