We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our administrative team to support the COVID19 delivery vaccination programme for our various sites across Central area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at band 3 level and develop your administrative skills, applications are also welcome from staff currently working on bank contracts.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will act as the first point of contact within the Vaccination Centre. They will provide Information, Advice and Assistance to all stakeholders, arranging and administering vaccination appointments for the Health Community, offering comprehensive admin support and actively promoting and maximising communication between all stakeholders, the nursing and medical teams, citizens and relatives.

The post holder will be responsible for the effective administration of the immunisation process within the Welsh Immunisation System (WIS); recording vaccines, adding case notes, checking eligibility and coding. Maintaining all stock within the vaccination centres and being responsible for document version control and confidential waste. Answering individual enquiries promptly and professionally being able to identify immediate solutions, and providing a coordination role where appropriate. The post holder will take a the lead assisting the clinical staff with the coordination of patients at the vaccination sites, liaising with General Practitioners, wards and community staff. Organisational ability, high-level communication skills and the ability to cope with working to tight and multiple deadlines are all skills essential to this post. The post contains a range of duties normally undertaken within procedural guidelines and work is frequently undertaken at the post holders own initiative.   • Good level of education Able to demonstrate English language and Mathematics to GCSE or equivalent level
  • NVQ II - Admin/Customer care

Desirable

  • NVQ III Admin/customer care.
  • NVQ III Health and Social Care related field

  • Experience of a busy working environment with varied workload and priorities

Desirable

  • Working in a hospital environment

Aptitude and Abilities

Essential

  • Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills.
  • Able to contribute constructively to a team working environment
  • Ability to use own initiative whilst understanding the need to seek advice from senior staff where necessary
  • Clear, legible handwriting
  • Able to record information accurately
  • Able to communicate information clearly and sensitively in person and over the telephone
