Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join Evington Ward at the Rehabilitation Unit, Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Our aim is to provide quality, planned care for the patients. The successful candidates will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining and coordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments, under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The role involves assisting patients to meet their personal care needs, recording observations and completing bedside documentation. Health Care Support Workers are also required to carry out general cleaning in the clinical environment by preparing bed spaces and cleaning equipment.

In each shift, HCSW are allocated to provide care for a group of patients. Duties include but are not inclusive to providing personal care; assisting with serving meals and drinks throughout the day; recording observations and accompanying patients for investigations.
