Main duties of the job
The Undergraduate and IT/AV Support Officer will be responsible for liaising with various departments and organisations both internal and external to the Health Board, in order to ensure the provision of high quality medical education to students at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
This post holder needs to have excellent communication skills as you will need to maintain a strong working relationship with a wide range of hospital and university staff to arrange/ plan timetables along with arranging student accommodation, creating welcome packs, booking and preparing training rooms, assisting with student induction and maintaining a record of student feedback. You will act as the first point of contact for the department and will need to effectively manage your own workload and be confident in using your initiative.
The post holder will be required to assist the Undergraduate Manager in providing pastoral care to medical students.
The successful candidate must be able to work plan and prioritise and organise their workload in order to meet numerous deadlines. Excellent computer skills are also required.
