Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a post Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, within the urology team.

The successful candidate will work in the urology team which involves working in the clinic area, assisting nurse specialist team with adult patients.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.

Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses and undertake patient care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse responsible for the patient's management.

Hours of work - Mon to Fri - hours to be agreed prior to appointment

Main duties of the job

Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality is maintained at all times.

Ensure the principles set out in the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to ensure high quality service for patients and clientsAssist the patients to maintain their own hygiene and personal appearance To perform duties within the plan of care delegated by a qualified practitioner, only for which he/she has the relevant training and assessment

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
