Applicants are invited for the Foundation Year 3 programme based at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.
We are looking for dynamic individuals who have completed their Foundation Programme training or have equivalent internal medicine experience if applying from outside the UK. Applicants with previous NHS experience will be preferred.
The posts offer an exciting opportunity for trainees potentially interested in pursuing a career in General Internal Medicine. The successful candidates will have a choice of working in Medical Specialities with a strong reputation for delivering excellent clinical care.

Main duties of the job
Whilst this is a non-training post, there will be allocated time for supporting professional activities including quality improvement projects, research and teaching. This time is protected and part of the duty roster. This time is equivalent to a session weekly.
The successful applicants will be expected to participate in the general internal medicine on-call rota working days, nights and weekend shifts as rostered 1:5.2. These posts are available as both Full Time for 6, 12 and up to 24 months or as Less Than Full Time posts. There will be several options including multiple speciality rotations.

About us
Ysbyty Gwynedd is situated in the city of Bangor in North West Wales. It is near to the Snowdonia National Park, Menai Straits and Irish Sea. This area has plenty to offer to enthusiasts who like outdoor activities (including water sports) or have interest in history or Welsh culture.
For sports enthusiasts there are facilities available for a range of sports including wall climbing, squash, swimming, tennis, badminton, gym, table tennis etc at a short distance from the hospital.
Bangor has good road and rail links to cities like Manchester, Cardiff and London.
Ysbyty Gwynedd is a very friendly hospital with an excellent Education Centre and an active Doctors Mess. The Mess organises regular social events including a Summer and Christmas Ball.
