Job summary

The Business Support Officer will manage the Health Centre Information System and provide and analyse statistical information for the Health Board and other agencies as required.

The Officer will be responsible for the provision of operation and day to day management of clerical and administrative services under the supervision of the Health Services Centre Manager.

Main duties of the job

Lead on the Practice Information System, ensuring that all users comply with standard procedures.

Represent the Practice at Primary Care Cluster meetings and deputise for the Centre Manager at meetings and events.

Participate in the national qualities outcomes framework (QOF) to ensure that the Practice and Health Centre targets are achieved. To include flu, child immunisations and other chronic conditions registers are maintained. In order to maximise on income opportunities for the Practice. Providing reporting on outcomes and targets achieved. Liaise with Health Solutions Wales to report faults and to request system enhancements.

Produce statistical information, Practice performances for the Area West Primary Care Team.

Support the Centre Manager with the management of incident reporting, risk management and concerns, ensuring the Datix system is kept up to date

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
