Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 4 administrator to join the MH & LD Operational Team.

The post holder will support the MH&LD Operational Workforce Team in the implementation, development and delivery of the 12-month recruitment campaign and talent pool process across the division. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the current BCUHB recruitment processes and will be familiar with the use of Trac.

The post holder will be the main point of contact for applicants and hiring managers across the division with the main priority to ensure the smooth transition within Trac of applicants from the talent pool to vacant posts within the division.

The post provides an exciting development opportunity to become part of an innovative new process within the division..

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

Using independent judgement, the post-holder will assist with the daily operational management of staffing issues and provide high level administrative support to the Business Support Manager.

Key aspects of this post include providing workforce advice and support on employee relations and terms and conditions of employment to Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Division. This will include being the first point of contact for workforce queries providing accurate and timely advice and guidance on workforce issues and escalating to the Business Support Manager as and when necessary.

Working as part of the MHLD business management team, the post holder will also undertake appropriate ad hoc projects as and when required. These projects will be in line with the responsibilities of the grade of the post and will assist in the delivery of an efficient and proactive Business Support function.

By the nature of this post, excellent written and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines are essential.

Working as part of the Business Support Team, the post holder will be expected to provide urgent cover and administration support in the absence of colleagues.

The post holder will be required to have a good working knowledge and understanding of the terms and conditions of staff
