We have an exciting recruitment opportunity within our integrated children's learning disability service for a nursing team manager.
The children's learning disability service is a health and local authority integrated service which provides support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families living in the Gwynedd and Anglesey area.
The team manager role is integral to service delivery and multi-disciplinary and partnership working. They provide support and clinical guidance to the team as well as contributing to service improvement and development.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual whose is able to lead an experienced team.
Welsh language skills are essential for this post
Main duties of the job
- To advise, provide and direct staff in how to proceed in the management of complex cases.
- Deliver high quality, evidenced based clinical care.
- To facilitate proceedings for a health contribution to funding specialist placements where appropriate and to act as Heath Care Manager if required for cases of the greatest complexity
- To carry out regular clinical supervision with all staff within professional group as allocated to ensure practice is safe, within best practice guidelines and meeting Health Board and professional requirements.
- To ensure that staff received mandatory training and supervision including safeguarding
- Ensure the organisation and quality of students and trainees placements within the service area
- Contribute to workforce planning
- To act as a representative for the service manager at meetings or for developments as allocated
- Effectively manage the teams and individuals performance and outcomes in compliance with BCU policies and procedures
