Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate clinical pharmacist with a keen interest in respiratory services to join our expanding integrated pharmacy team. You will become part of a unique team in a highly patient focussed role. You will be responsible for leading and developing clinical pharmacy services to patients with respiratory disease across the Central Integrated Health Community (IHC).
The Central IHC manages patients with Interstitial Lung Disease and severe asthma and the successful candidate will provide support to the multidisciplinary team providing biological treatment to these patients whilst inputting into transformative changes in how care is being delivered across the IHC.
The successful candidate will be a specialist clinical pharmacist, with or able to work towards an independent prescribing qualification. You will be able to work well as part of a ward-based team and across the wider Central IHC, providing leadership and clinical expertise to other pharmacists and technicians within the IHC.
The pharmacy team are closely integrated into the multidisciplinary team and there are opportunities to support with guideline, protocol and service developments across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with the respiratory team utilising their specialist pharmacy knowledge to provide clinical input into patient care. This will include being supported to provide a clinical in-reach service to respiratory patients in community settings, and across the hospital site, including frontline care within the Emergency Quarter.
You will lead and manage high cost medications within the respiratory pharmacy service and provide evaluated financial information in accordance with the needs of the division.
You will be supported to develop the scope of the role across the Central IHC, and be supported to prescribe and monitor bespoke and complex treatment regimens to deliver safe and effective treatment outcomes with a patient centred approach.
You will be self-motivated with excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills. The ability to liaise with and influence senior clinical staff, members of the multidisciplinary team and colleagues with various clinical background across all sectors of the Central IHC - including primary, community and secondary care is essential.
