Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Stroke Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist in North West Wales therapy led stroke rehabilitation services.
This post offers an opportunity to develop clinical, leadership and managerial skills within stroke services. Up to date experience working within stroke and clinical leadership experience is essential. This post will support the existing staff in continuing to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and rehabilitation in line with national stroke targets and as part of the new stroke pathway.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and formal supervision of junior staff within the department and will work closely with the acute stroke team to provide seamless therapy provision across the stroke pathway.
In addition, the post holder will contribute to stroke service developments and also contribute to the wider Occupational Therapy service i.e. audits, service developments, attending meetings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The Assessment and treatment of patients within the In patient service and within the community.
Supervision and leadership for junior staff within the service.
Supply expert advice and guidance to other staff within the Occupational Therapy service.
