Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 physiotherapist who has completed their core competencies or a Band 6 physiotherapist with neurological experience who is looking for a post within the paediatric speciality.

You will work in a supportive environment to acquire and develop knowledge and skills related to treating children and young people in the acute, community and school environment and supporting their transition into adult services.

A willingness and desire to learn is essential for this post. You will be supported in this by senior members of the team/clinical specialist. You would also be supported to attend external training.

Main duties of the job

With support from senior colleagues you would manage your own caseload, in the community - predominantly a Denbighshire caseload covering schools, homes, children's centres and community clinics but will also be required to provide cover on the acute paediatric wards at Glan Clwyd Hospital and some community work in Denbighshire.

You would be expected to contribute to the supervision of support staff and students. You will also contribute and participate as a member of the wider multidisciplinary/joint agency teams supporting children and young people with disabilities.

As part of the role you will be expected to participate in 7 day working where indicated and respiratory on-call. Training will be available if required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
