Job summary

The role of Patient Access and Booking Clerk is a multi-tasking role in a highly pressurised call centre environment. It aims to provide efficient, professional and prompt administrative services to ensure an effective booking service. The role is split into administration duties and telephone services dealing directly with patients and multi disciplinary teams. It is fast paced and provides support to other team members and services.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post

Main duties of the job

The main duties in this role are being the first point of contact for patients enquiring about waiting lists and appointments, booking patients' OPD appointments efficiently and promptly, liaising with multi disciplinary teams and colleagues, organising and keeping up to date records, telephone communications, and multi tasking within a wide range of administrative duties.
