Job summary

Regional partnership working between our health board and social care partners within six local authorities across north Wales is crucial in developing integrated care systems and achieving our goals.

The role of the West Health Community Nurse Director is to provide clinical leadership, ensuring a professional, visible role model to nurses. They will ensure that professional standards are maintained, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen for a Nurse with extensive leadership experience to join the West IHC (Integrated Health Community) as Director of Nursing. The Nurse Director, along with the Director of Operations, Medical Director, Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Management and Director of Allied Health Professionals, form the IHCs senior management team. The Nurse Director will provide strategic, clinical, and professional direction for developing and delivering integrated Nursing services, supporting the improvement of safety and quality of patient care in primary, community, and acute care. As a director, you will also take responsibility for delivering programmes aligned with the IHC annual plan. The role is managerially accountable to the West Integrated Health Community Director with professional accountability to the Health Board's Executive Nurse Director.

Through collaborative leadership, you will lead an integrated teamand deliver a vision for excellence in care. The Nurse Director is key within the transformation programme of the integrated Health Community. It will be expected to work closely with colleagues in other Health Communities through Pan North Wales Services, Service Support Functions, and partners to provide high-quality services across the whole of the North Wales population.
