Provide overall responsibility for the management of the administration team. Manage agreed targets set out by the Welsh Government in relation to the Covid Vaccination Programme. Monitor progress of administrative management and provide weekly feedback on achievements and work collaboratively to plan to meet these targets.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the management of all administrative, secretarial and clerical staff within the department.
- Attend appropriate Management Team and speciality meetings ensuring all relevant action points are followed up as necessary.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of administrative and clerical requirements and provide advice/contribute to the service development in line with key national initiatives and departmental objectives.
- Ensure good lines of communication are maintained at all times with administration and clerical staff including the dissemination of necessary information e.g. Team Brief meetings. Ensure relevant issues are highlighted to the senior management team as appropriate.
- Development & Implementation of service development, including new services, operational plans and business cases in relation to administration and clerical issues.
- Ensure that departmental and corporate objectives relating to administration and clerical staff are achieved.
- Ensure effective joint working and communication with other departments in the Health Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
