West CAMHS has an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to join our Early Intervention and Prevention Service (EIPS) and are looking to recruit a Band 6 EIPS CAMHS Practitioners.
Working as an EIPS Practitioner in Gwynedd and Mon your focus would be on developing and delivering a range of evidenced and practice based interventions for children, young people, families/carers and the professional network. These interventions focus on early intervention and prevention of mental health difficulties within community settings; such as consultation, joint working and training.
For this role we provide ongoing training and supervision and are committed to offering the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a range of skills, knowledge and experience in the field of early intervention and prevention.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who values multi agency working in their practice and committed to helping children, young people and families in order to promote positive well-being and mental health.
Main duties of the job
To provide assessment and intervention and / or specific evidence based therapies to children and young people with mental health problems and significant mental health disorders. Provide consultation and support to front line professionals in understanding and supporting children / young people and families through providing training, advice and direction in addition to the delivery of early intervention programmes.

- Relevant professional Qualification and Registration
- Eligible to practice under the mental health measure Wales 2010. This includes registered mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapist, practising psychologist.
- Post grad diploma or relevant knowledge, training and experience in the specialist field acquired through specialist training and on the job experience.
- Excellent knowledge of mental health problems and disorders
- Excellent knowledge of family dynamics and issues relating to working with families
- Understanding of relevant therapeutic approaches
- Knowledge and appreciation of national policies
Desirable
- Additional formal qualification in a recognised therapeutic approach
- Specific, targeted, evidence based interventions e.g. EMDR
- Formal qualification in a relevant field e.g. Child Development, Mental Health etc
