Job summary
Employment opportunity has arisen for a Fire Safety Officer to join Operational Estates team in Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
The Post will be providing expert advice on the application and interpretation of Fire legislation and fire safety guidance across the Health Board, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) and advising on the content of the organisation's fire policy.
Main duties of the job
You will be instrumental in assisting with the development of the organisation's fire strategy whilst helping with the development of a suitable training programme in your designated area, including supporting the delivery of training to all Health Board staff.
You will be responsible to the Senior Estates Officer: Legislation Assurance-Fire while liaising with a wide cross section of staff (eg. enforcing authorities on technical issues, with managers and staff on fire safety issues and liaising with the appointed Authorising Engineer - Fire (AE-F)) so excellent communication skills are essential.
