Job summary
The North Wales Brain Injury Service (NWBIS) is an inter-disciplinary, community-based brain injury rehabilitation service, based at Colwyn Bay Hospital. The team works across North Wales and accepts referrals for persons who have sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Principal Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) to become a core member of our team, providing person-centered and evidence-based neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation to adults with an acquired brain injury. The post holder will be an experienced clinical psychologist who will be able to work independently as well as part of the team. Experience of working with people with acquired brain injury and neurorehabilitation is essential.
Main duties of the job
Promote psychological care and thinking as a core component of the North Wales Brain Injury Service offer; promoting the offer from all clinical staff from all professions ensuring psychological care is understood to be part of everyone's role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
