Job summary
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team of staff providing a wide range of cardiac & respiratory services, including new & exciting developments. We have introduced a successful 'one-stop' service for Cardiology outpatients and also work closely with the multidisciplinary team in providing innovative services for chest pain and heart failure patients. The cardio-respiratory department has been extended and refurbished providing an excellent working environment with state of the art equipment. The post holder will be involved in the delivery of key strategic targets.
The Echo Service provided incorporates adult Transthoracic, Transoesophageal, and Stress Echo Imaging and utilises 4D technology The echocardiography department is well equipped with three new digital GE Vivid E9 machines with digital Echopac reporting and archiving.
Main duties of the job
We seek to recruit a highly motivated cardiac physiologist to join our team. You should hold relevant BSc or equivalent qualification and be BSE accredited. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient post accreditation experience to fulfil the requirements of the post. The successful candidate will work predominantly in Echocardiography but will maintain or develop their skills in other areas of technical cardiology. We are looking for an enthusiastic skilled Echo cardiographer to play a leading role in developing our services.
Opportunities exist for the right candidate to extend their postgraduate skills and further training is actively encouraged.
