Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to provide clinical leadership and support within Care of the Elderly, Acute Medical Team, Community inpatients and Community Teams in the Central Area of BCUHB.

The post can be offered as a developmental post starting at B6 and moving to B7 once the post holder has developed the required competencies. Required support will be offered to allow the post holder to develop.

The post holder will carry a clinical caseload on the Acute Wards in Glan Clwyd Hospital but will also be responsible for provision of clinical leadership to the community teams (inpatient and domiciliary).

The successful candidate would be involved in service and staff development across the team. They would also work with other clinical and operational leaders to ensure the highest quality care for patients.

The role will involve developing the service in line with National Guidelines, participating in research, providing training and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.

This is a role for an enthusiastic, motivated physio who has experience in this field and wishes to develop their career further.

Please note that this is a 7 day working post.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

  • Development and delivery of high quality service within own Physiotherapy sub specialism across BCUHB
  • Assessment and management of complex patients
  • Develop opportunities for practice which extends the scope of traditional Physiotherapy
  • Training and support of Physiotherapists and support staff to deliver high quality, evidence based service provision
  • Governance arrangements within the sub-specialty area
