The CT & MRI Scanning Team at the Radiology Department, Wrexham Maelor Hospital, is being expanded to meet an increase in demand for cross -sectional imaging examinations. An opportunity has therefore arisen to appoint enthusiastic, dynamic, committed and motivated Radiographers to a Band 6 Specialist Radiographer role to support the development of this service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will become integral members of the CT & MRI team. The department is equipped with 2 CT scanners (a newly installed Canon Prism and a Canon Prime) as well as a Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanner. We undertake a diverse range of examinations in both modalities including cardiac.
The role will include participation in a 24/7 shift rota for the CT service, as well as the12/7 shift rota for MRI. Applications are invited from those individuals who are competent in CT and / or MR Scanning, or are willing to train to be competent in both.
There may be a requirement to cover work on other sites within BCU Health Board and as such the successful candidate should be prepared to travel.
