As a Specialist Dietitian for Nutrition Support you will work to establish a focus on nutritional assessment and treatment of malnutrition in the Community.

You will develop and broaden your leadership and team working skills, through sharing your innovative approaches and leading on projects and training. You will be encouraged and supported in considering improved and more effective ways of working.

Main duties of the job

To work in partnership with primary care and community care settings..

To provide clinical nutritional advice to patients in community settings; in community hospitals, care homes, GP practices, outpatient clinics and in patients' own homes when necessary.

To establish new and innovative working practices in collaboration with health, social services and other agencies.

To liaise with other disciplines and agencies in order to ensure co-ordination of care.

To liaise with dietetic colleagues to develop appropriate resources for service delivery, reviewing and updating content to meet changing demands.

Supervising and training Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and students.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
