Job summary
We are recruiting a locum consultant to join our existing team on a full time fixed term basis with commitment in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
We are particularly seeking a colleague with either interests in Benign Gynaecology or Antenatal care, in addition to a broad range of generic skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The applicant must have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and must be registered in the GMC's specialist register.
Main duties of the job
This is a fixed term post supporting the current Gynaecology service with Obstetric component. The post holder will be supporting consultant delivered care and junior doctor training through alternative models of working. There will be a general commitment in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The appointee will take full responsibility for clinical care of patients during their duties. Additional support and mentoring will also be available as appropriate based on the appointee's experience.
The consultant is expected to be physically on site while providing labour ward cover during working hours.
