Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is a dynamic Primary Care focused organisation working collaboratively with Independent Practices and Clusters to deliver a multi disciplinary model of care for its local population.
If you have recently qualified or are set to qualify in the next 6 months we would like to offer you the following opportunity:
Main duties of the job
The Role & Responsibilities:
Working in one of the following settings;
- Health Board Managed Practice
- GP Out of Hours
- Urgent Primary Care Centre
- Undertaking Patient Consultations (face to date and/or telephone)
- Carrying out Home visits & Care home visits
- Referrals into Secondary care
- Check and sign prescriptions where clinically appropriate
- View test results transmitted from the laboratory or from the XR department, and act upon abnormal results as clinically indicated
- Review hospital letters / discharge summaries / documents as provided to you by the medical receptionist team
- Medication reviews
- Provide advice and support to staff as necessary
- Be aware of QAIF requirements and respond appropriately to the QAIF alert 'prompts' within the clinical system.
- Baby Checks
- On occasion we may ask you to undertake non-statutory medical/insurance reports
