If you have recently qualified or are set to qualify in the next 6 months we would like to offer you the following opportunity:

Main duties of the job

The Role & Responsibilities:

Working in one of the following settings;

  1. Health Board Managed Practice
  2. GP Out of Hours
  3. Urgent Primary Care Centre
  • Undertaking Patient Consultations (face to date and/or telephone)
  • Carrying out Home visits & Care home visits
  • Referrals into Secondary care
  • Check and sign prescriptions where clinically appropriate
  • View test results transmitted from the laboratory or from the XR department, and act upon abnormal results as clinically indicated
  • Review hospital letters / discharge summaries / documents as provided to you by the medical receptionist team
  • Medication reviews
  • Provide advice and support to staff as necessary
  • Be aware of QAIF requirements and respond appropriately to the QAIF alert 'prompts' within the clinical system.
  • Baby Checks
  • On occasion we may ask you to undertake non-statutory medical/insurance reports
