We have an exciting opportunity for skilled, innovative and enthusiastic pharmacists to become part of our friendly, progressive, dynamic team.

The department is looking for motivated, adaptable clinical pharmacists to join the band 7 rotation. The post will aim to improve your clinical skills and develop you career by working alongside senior colleagues to provide pharmaceutical care to a wide range of specialties such as medicine, surgery, aseptic, pre-operative assessment clinic, emergency department, mental health and working across to intermediate and primary care. The post holders will be working as part of the ward medicine management teams liaising closely with medical and nursing staff to provide seamless patient centered care, and as our team develops to be fully integrated the post holders would have the opportunity to follow the patient journey.

Main duties of the job

The department has a high level of commitment to staff development. The individuals would be encouraged and supported to further themselves professionally in both clinical and non clinical aspects of the profession. Opportunities to study for a prescribing course, Advance clinical Practice MSc and to develop a teaching role supervising and training junior and pre-registration pharmacists, technicians and assistants as well as providing training and education for medical and nursing staff may be considered for the right candidate(s). The successful candidates will be team players and possesses excellent interpersonal skills, strong prioritisation and time management skills enabling a safe, effective and efficient pharmaceutical service to the patients and the organisation.

On a case by case basis travel expenses may be available for interested individuals not from the area and who are travelling a significant distance - if interested please contact us to discuss. Skype interviews may be considered.
