We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Physician Associate to join Emergency Department team at Ysbyty Wrexham Maelor. This is to support the Emergency Department in providing an excellent patient experience for all our patients.
Main duties of the job
As a Physician's Associate you will provide care for patients including clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment under the mentorship of a Consultant. The successful candidate will be autonomous,ateam player and will be expected to work with the wider practice team of Consultants,Consultant Nurses, Junior Doctors and other Allied Health Professionals to provide high quality, safe and effective clinical care and to deliver services to meet the need of the patients. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team you will be required to undertake physical assessment and history taking of patients,provide immediate care and initiate treatment as per clinical pathways. The ability to multi-task and to work under pressure is essential and you must also be adaptable to a varied and high volume workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Degree in a life science and/or a significant background in healthcare
- Master's degree in Physcian Associate studies from a recognised UK training programme and evidence of successful completion of the UK National PA exam
- Registration with the UK Managed Voluntary Registry for Physcian Associates/Faculty of PA's
- Membership of the Faculty of Physician Associates at the Royal College of Physicians
- Undertakes continuing medical examinations to maintain on-going certification with the PA managed voluntary register or equivalent
