Then come and join our dynamic team based in North Wales! An opportunity has arisen for a part time, Band 5 Development Role to work with our Award Winning Public Health Dietetic Teamto enable improvements in nutritional health and wellbeing amongst key community groups across Wrexham and Flintshire. This post is suited to Associate Nutritionists (ANutr) who are looking to build their experience on route to becoming a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with the AFN (Association for Nutrition). Training opportunities and support will be given for the role, and the service is committed to the training and development of all its staff.
This is a development role, with opportunity to develop skills and experience needed to fulfil the needs of the post during the course of your employment. Your training period will be for 3 years and the pay will be determined using a proportion of the fully qualified Band 5 Salary and Annex 21.
Year 1 Salary 65% of the top of a band 5
Year 2 Salary 70% of the top of a band 5
Year 3 Salary 75% of the top of a band 5
Where applicants are able to demonstrate that they can fulfil the full requirements of the Band 5 role without development, there may be the potential to offer this as a standard Band 5 role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support the team in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of evidence based food and nutrition training and promotional activities, working as an integral member of, and in partnership with multi-agency community teams. Examples of successful innovations developed and managed by our service that you will be part of, are our 'Tiny Tums' scheme that supports and rewards early childcare settings for achieving best practice in food and drink provision, and our family focused 'Come and Cook' courses.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
