Job summary
Due to the introduction of new ways of working we are looking to recruit a Band 5 technician to join our enthusiasticfriendly team in the Emergency Quadrant.Our team approach along with new technology will provide timely, accurate pharmaceutical care and improved patient flow through the hospital.
We are looking for a highly motivated, friendly, conscientious, patient focused Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our busy Emergency Quarter pharmacy team. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to use your initiative and contribute to a team setting and also have the skills to work alone.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake medicines management duties at ward level including assessing patients' own drugs, medicines history taking, medicines supply and patient counselling. You will also be rota'd to undertake final accuracy checking sessions in the dispensary on a regular basis.
You will be responsible for the supervision of junior or less experienced staff and you must be able to manage your own workload to ensure the provision of a timely and efficient pharmacy service.
