Business Support Manager - Booking Centre (MAS)

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Older Adult Mental Health Directorate for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual as a Business Support Manager. The post holder would be a key member of staff to lead the implementation of a new Centralised Booking Centre for Memory Assessment Services (MAS).

The post holder must be well organised, be able to work autonomously when required and be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally on an individual basis and when presenting, but also in providing written documentation.

The post holder must have excellent IT and interpersonal skills and be familiar with a range of programmes and software.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for managing the MAS Centralised Booking & Contact Centre with the operational management of the service.

They will assist the Directorate in planning and implementing operationalisation of the Booking Centre and the continued smooth running of the service.

The post holder will monitor and assist with the delivery of the Directorate's Referral to Treatment (RTT) and Memory Assessment Service targets ensuring that available capacity is utilised effectively.

The post holder will be responsible for devising service performance reports and communicating them effectively to key stakeholders. They will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop any necessary tools to improve processes and services across the Directorate and Division. They will line manage and provide managerial support to administrative staff within the service, which will include conducting appraisal and pay progression reviews.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
