Senior Occupational Therapist - Long Term Conditions

Job summary
A rare and exciting Band 6 opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Occupational Therapists to join our long term conditions -neurology Occupational Therapy team.
The post holder will support the team in enabling individuals, families and carers impacted by a long-term neurological condition to access an enhanced Occupational Therapy service that offers highly specialised, evidence based, occupation focused intervention at a time that is most meaningful to them.
The post offers opportunity to deliver a wide variety of occupationally focused assessments and interventions with clients in their own homes. There is opportunity to support individuals with condition management advice, anticipatory care, and work with clients to support them in achieving varied goals. The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and support in developing leadership and clinical expertise.
Main duties of the job
The service is at the end of the first stage of a whole service transformation which is creating many opportunities for the development of service improvement knowledge and skills within the team. The team has recently created an advice line to enable professionals to access a timely consultation offer and support referrers to access the team for advice and support. In addition, the post holder has the opportunity to develop special interests in sub speciality pathways and will be supported to develop the speciality knowledge and skills required for the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
