The Role
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering an effective information management and analytics strategy across the Health Board. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of high-quality data insights to support operational and strategic decision-making, performance improvement, and service transformation.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive Data, Analytics and Information Management strategy.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data analysts, information specialists, and reporting professionals.
- Ensure robust data governance and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, NHS data standards).
- Drive the use of advanced analytics, business intelligence tools, and predictive modelling to enhance healthcare services.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including clinicians, executives, and operational managers, to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Improve data accessibility, workforce digital competence, and performance monitoring frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation and innovation within information management.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

We are looking for a strategic thinker and an experienced leader with a strong background in information management and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a senior information management, data analytics, or business intelligence role, preferably within healthcare or a large public sector organisation.
- Strong understanding of NHS data systems, reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
