This is a key leadership position where you will manage and oversee our production and aseptic services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant products for our patients. NHS Wales is in the process of creating the Transforming Access to Medicines Service (TrAMs) which will be hosted by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP). The current service provided by ABUHB and this post, may transfer to NWSSP as part of this programme. Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the Production/Aseptic services based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, manufacturing pharmaceutical products for patient use across all ABUHB sites.
- Manage, plan and develop the service, in-line with the operational strategy developed in conjunction with the Head of Pharmacy, Operational Services, delivering service through management and oversight of appropriate professional and technical staff.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal/external to ABUHB, including staff, patients, carers and support groups.

Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant guidelines.
