Job summary
To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National Service Framework.
To assist with the management of the ward on a day to day basis by supporting and acting on behalf the ward manager.
To be aware and demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing.
Work in conjunction with other disciplines in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
To promote evidence based practise and act as an accountable role model and clinical expertise
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of all registered nurses and healthcare support workers within their team. Strong communication skills and strong problem solving skills are essential along with the ability to work under pressure.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking leader to motivate and inspire a new nursing team to achieve high standards of patient care whilst ensuring patient safety.
You will be expected to work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team and be actively involved in providing high standards of quality care. You will also be expected to demonstrate
The candidate must demonstrate good knowledge and skills in caring for adults.
The successful candidate will work closely with the ward manager, to ensure and demonstrate the delivery of high standards of care in a safe, compassionate, responsive environment. They will be responsible for the operational management of the ward. Strong leadership skills are essential for this role.
The successful post holder will be expected to uphold ward management responsibilities and lead by example to support the team when ward manager is not present.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
