Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) team. This exciting position within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) will see you play a key role in enhancing the occupational performance and participation of children and young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing highly skilled occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and support for children and their families across a variety of settings, including clinic, school, home, residential homes and community environments.

Main duties of the job
- ead and provide highly specialised occupational therapy within the CMHT through a tiered model of support, including managing a complex caseload, at times as Care Co-ordinator.
- Lead and deliver individual and group occupational therapy interventions, focusing on improving occupational participation, daily functioning, self-regulation, and life skills.
- Support and supervise other occupational therapists and staff, providing training and development opportunities.
- Lead service development initiatives for CAMHS and occupational therapy, through innovative practice to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and their families.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and external services to improve care coordination and support best outcomes for children and young people.
- Lead and contribute to clinical governance activities and service development, ensuring the highest standards of occupational therapy practice are met with CAMHS.
