Job summary

To work as a senior member of the School Nursing Immunisation Team coordinating and planning services to ensure the safe and effective delivery of school aged immunisation programmes in primary and secondary schools and community settings across Gwent, working within the Integrated School Nursing Service.

Main duties of the job

o Provide day to day management of the team, ensuring the smooth running of the service, maintenance of quality standardso Planning and coordinating interventions to ensure vaccine equity in hard-to-reach groups.o Working collaboratively to achieve team /organisational goals and positively contributing to the overall performance of the team.o Undertake clinical assessment and vaccine preparation. Adhere to National and Local policies including Patient Group Directions (PGD),National Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed to ensure safe working practices, including the supervision ofnon-registrant immunisers.
