Job summary
Communications and Engagement OfficerAn opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Health Board Communications and Engagement Team.
We are looking for a Communications professional to work within our team, who will take responsibility for providing Communications and Engagement support to the Health Board, with a focus on developing and managing the organisation's website.You will manage internal and external communications, using excellent skills in written copy, digital, video and social media. You will be warmly welcomed into a team environment, where you will provide advice and support to staff members and stakeholders.
You will be responsible the planning, production and management of content that is interesting and varied to suit a range of audiences.
Experience of working in or with the media, or in a PR/comms role, is essential. You will also need to have excellent written communication and negotiating skills to ensure excellent services are delivered.
Main duties of the job
To deliver and support all aspects of internal and external communications undertaken by the Health Board. The post holder will form an integral part of the communications team and work across a full range of external and internal communications functions.Take the lead in co-ordinating and producing digital activity across web and social media channels that will help the Health Board to reach out to a broader audiences, influence and encourage debate, build trust and reputation in accordance with the Health Board's corporate priorities and objectives.
To support the ongoing development of the website and intranet sites and work closely with Digital Health Care Wales (DHCW).
To develop and edit material for our website, intranet, and social media channels. To be a point of contact within the organisation, to provide expert advice support and training to the Communications Team and other staff from around the Health Board.
To meet with staff across from across the Health Board and develop plans to positively promote their work and gain external and internal publicity for key organisational messages.
