Job summary
Patient Safety Incident agenda, in order tosupport the delivery of high quality, safe and supportive services and the fulfilment of the Health Board's governance priorities.The post holder will ensure that quality and patient safety remains firmly embedded within the Health Board and at the centre of careprovision, ensuring that the ethos of Clinical Governance is fully embraced and adopted so that staff that deliver care believe that quality and safety is an integral part of patient care.The post holder will be responsible for supporting corporate patient safety incident activity including the development and / orimplementation of policies, risk management strategies, training programmes and audit activity.To provide leadership for the review and implementation of effective systems and procedures for the management of patient safety incidentswithin the Health Board.The post holder will support the Head of Safety and Learning in the development of systems to monitor the quality of clinical practice throughaudit and measurement of clinical risk, incidents, benchmarking and ensure changes to practice are introduced and monitored whereappropriate.The post holder will assist in the promotion of learning from patient safety incidents.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder plays a vital part in ensuring our organisation works towards implementing the NHS Quality and Safety Framework tostrive for excellent standards of patient safety and care. Working as part of the Corporate Patient Safety Incident Team you will beresponsible for supporting patient safety incident investigations as per the Health Boards Patient Safety Incident Reporting &Management Policy.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
