Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and diligent Administrative Support Officer who will be based within Newport working within the MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Department at the Royal Gwent Hospital and St Woolos Hospital. We require someone who has excellent administrative and clerical skills to become a member of this dynamic team. You will work with the Administration Lead and clerical colleagues. You need to demonstrate the ability to prioritise your own workload and show initiative.
The physiotherapy department is part of the Royal Gwent Estate, it is 10 minutes walk from Friars walk shopping complex and Water Front.
St Woolos physiotherapy department is approximately 8 minutes walk from the Royal Gwent Hospital and within 2 minutes from St Woolos Cathedral.
Main duties of the job
You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. An excellent telephone manner is vital as the post holder will have direct contact with parents/carers and health professionals. Due to the area you will be working in, the post holder would need to demonstrate compassion and a good understanding around possible complex or safeguarding situations. The post holder must embrace change and be committed to best practice.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
