An exciting opportunity has become available within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for a Health Care Support Worker, to join our caring and professional nursing team delivering general nursing care, palliative and rehabilitation care to our patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
There are lots of opportunities to further develop and you will be supported with training and education. Candidate will have an NVQ level 2 health and social care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Redwood Unit is fundamental in the delivery of the health boards' clinical futures model in providing care closer to home and a key part of our community team family within Caerphilly borough locality.
We deliver holistic care to patients through appropriate assessment and planning of nursing and therapeutic interventions supported by our therapies and social worker team. The onsite GP's hold medical governance of patients and we work closely with them to ensure patients receive quality standards of care. Delivering high standards of care are achieved through effective collaboration and partnership working within our health and social care integrated centre at Rhymney and wider primary care and community services. The centre houses Redwood Community Hospital, social services, the district nursing team, GP surgeries and many other health and social care professionals, thus, enabling a collaborative way of working and delivery of effective and timely care to patients.
Redwood team have an exciting opportunity for a healthcare support worker to join their supportive, dedicated and forward-thinking team. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills with continuing professional development opportunities to prepare you with the skills to meet the evolving and exciting role of community hospital nursing through engagement of a robust induction programme and supportive and well-established nursing team.
