Job summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our Antiviral Response Service . This key role will be working collaboratively with and support members of the MDT in the delivery and management of the anti viral service.
The remit of the antiviral service is to provide oral and IV interventions to people during periods of acute illness in order to prevent hospital admission. You will have the ability to independently triage to aid decision making or previous experience of triage processes.

Oftentimes, this post requires you to work autonomously and into patients own homes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to demonstrate and apply a broad range of nursing knowledge, intervention and skills. Knowledge of the principles of health promotion and preventing illness will be fundamental as will having a comprehensive understanding of the roles of others in health care. The post holder will support the Team leader, deputising for them in their absence and supporting the development of the Anti viral team and raising the profile of the anti viral service.

To develop and implement evidenced based clinical/therapeutic interventions based on best practice, specialist knowledge, experienceand specific training to improve health outcomes and promote choice. To ensure that nursing models of care are used when assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating specialist programmes ofprescribed patient care To work in close collaboration with all other agencies including District Nursing Services, pharmacy, CRT, Public Health Consultantsand health and wellbeing workers. To be responsible for assessing referrals to ensure they meet the clinical criteria for Anti-Viral Service To identify, liaise and/or delegate duties to appropriate skilled team members or external agencies at short notice, to identify and carryout a more appropriate service need. To contribute to partnership working with statutory organisations and the non-statutory sector as required. To contribute when required, to the work of specific project groups within the multidisciplinary team.
