Job summary

This post is a Secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to work unsupervised using their own initiative to resolve problems and to support all Research and Development Quality Programmes of work. The post holder will be a key member of the team and will be responsible for:

  • To be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, safe, efficient and cost-effective service to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
  • To act as Research and Development Quality Manager, co-ordinating the development of a quality management framework for Research and Development and Research Delivery and ensure the Quality Management System functions correctly
  • To be responsible for quality and budgetary issues relevant to Research and Development and Research Delivery across the Health Board
  • To be responsible for liaison with Technical team at Q-Pulse and IT at ABUHB to ensure the ongoing development and effectiveness of the quality management syste
  • To be responsible for the management of the R&D Governance staff
  • To develop and promote Health Board wide working and standardisation within and between the disciplines through the Research and Development and Research Delivery teams
  • To provide significant input into reviews and the provision of strategic plans for the Directorate relating to Quality, Governance and Health & Safety
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Research and Development and Research Delivery Risk Register.
